Olly Murs has arrived in Scotland for a special guest appearance at the 2011 Young Scot Awards.
The Please Don’t Let Me Go star is due to entertain over 500 of Scotland's youth and celeb guests as they join together to celebrate some of the young people's amazing achievements.
Speaking ahead of the event, the 26-year-old said he couldn’t wait to meet the nominees and their families at the glitzy award ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel.
“It is important to encourage the young, regardless of what they are doing,” he told the Daily Record.
"These kids show amazing courage and they are so mature. Some of the things they cope with are incredible.
"Their belief in themselves is inspiring - and they still smile no matter what happens to them.”
He added: “One of the best things about being a pop star is that me being there helps them to have a better time. You can change people's lives and make their day - I love it.
“I hope I can add something to it for them, that they enjoy the performance and they like me when we meet."
Joining Olly Murs with an X-tra special performance is Shayne Ward. New girl band Wonderland will also take to the stage to make sure the Young Scots have a great night.
Radio Clyde DJ Romeo will host the night as 14 awards ranging from sports to volunteering to entertainment will be presented to the youth nominees.
